Outreach & Research Project

Bringing CENFACS to the community is an initiative by CENFACS to reach out to the French-speaking African People (FSAP) and to research on their needs and expectations.

This will be one of the CENFACS’ priorities for the development of its services in the UK. The language barrier is one of the disadvantages experienced by the majority of the FSAP. To deal with it effectively, CENFACS will extend its services to all corners of the community through in-depth neighbourhood outreach. CENFACS will be working with FSAP in North West Croydon to raise their awareness of local issues, increase their involvement and participation in local life and help them access local and mainstream services in a confident manner.

Peace & Protection Initiative

Peace & Protection project is about BRINGING PEACE TO THE CHILDREN THROUGH PROTECTION. As part of this project, CENFACS in partnership with AFRUCA (Africans Unite Against Child Abuse) organised a workshop on "Safeguarding African Children in London: Key Issues & Developments". Debbie Ariyo, Director of AFRUCA, high-lighted with participants key child protection issues: Female Genital Mutilation, Trafficking of Children to the UK, Physical Punishment and Exorcism and Belief in Witchcraft. One of the ways forward to these issues is TO WORK WITH PARENTS WHO NEED SUPPORT AND OTHER CHILD PROTECTION STAKEHOLDERS AND KEY AGENCIES. We look forward to carrying out more work on children's peace and protection.
